The boys tied a very strong Webster team 0-0 and defeated Grand Island 6-0 while playing in very heavy rain. Sunday was cut-short by the weather and the team was declared champions based on their goal-differential.

posted 06/22/2009 The team went undefeated (4-0-0) in unfavorable weather conditions while playing up one age group to win their second tournament championship of the season. They allowed only one goal to be scored on them and dominated play the whole weekend. They faced Syracuse Olympic Soccer Club in a down pour Saturday morning, and put a goal in in the final seconds of the game to win in dramatic fashion 1-0. Saturday afternoon was another wet one, however the team managed to dominate play and shut out Chili for another 1-0 win. By Sunday the rain had cleared out and the sun was beaming. They outplayed Spencerport to a 3-1 victory to advanced to the championship game. They would now have to compete against a very hungry, big, physical Syracuse team yet again. They persevered and displayed outstanding skill by passing the ball with ease and controlling time of possession, frustrating their opponent and capturing the Championship with a 2-0 win.
Congratulations to Gabi, Makayla, Sami, Taylor, Lexi, Jaime, Melissa, Olivia, Kayla, Bailey, Jamie, Lauren, Emily, Ellie, Tatiajana, Colby, Shannon, Jossette & Jenna. Excellent team effort, kudos! - Coach Borrelli
